-control slugs and snails by squashing them at night
-feed all beds lightly with complete organic fertilizer mid September. Don’t use lime on tomato beds
Harvest: green sprouting broccoli, purple sprouting broccoli, Brussels sprouts, large savoy cabbages, large red cabbages, Sugarloaf cabbages, overwintering carrots, cauliflower, celery, kale, leek, salad onions, spring onions, lettuces & Asian greens, mustard, spinach, swede

- continue mulching under fruit trees and berries (berries with a mixture of manure and pine needles)
- tip prune all trees that had mildew or other infections
- place hessian band around trunks of apple and pear trees or place codling moth traps (Pheromone) in orchard
- check for aphids, spray with pyrethrum if necessary
- feed all trees and shrubs lightly with complete organic fertilizer

- sow capsicum, celery, cucumber, eggplant, pumpkins, squash, sweetcorn, tomatoes and zucchini
