- control slugs and snails by squashing them at night
- use Dipel on brassica against cabbage white fly, if necessary
- sow Asian brassica, bush beans (to mid month), climbing beans (to mid month), shelling beans, beetroot, green sprouting broccoli, Brussels sprouts, small savoy cabbages, small red cabbages, carrots, cauliflower, celery, kale, leek, lettuce & Asian greens, mustard, spring onions, radishes, spinach (perennial kind) and swede; feed beds lightly with complete organic fertilizer, horse manure or composted hay from chook-pens before sowing and planting 
- harvest: broad beans, green sprouting broccoli, purple sprouting broccoli, small savoy cabbages, small red cabbages, carrots, cauliflower, celery, garlic, kohlrabi, salad onions, spring onions, potato onions, peas, pink eyes, radish, lettuces & Asian greens, mustard, silverbeet, spinach, squash, swede, zucchini

- start picking 
     berries
     currants
     cherries 
- continue spraying apple trees against fungus with limil in two-weekly intervals (especially important in damp weather)
- thin out apple and pears
- start summer-pruning fruit trees
- check for pear and cherry slugs, spray with Success, if necessary
- check for aphids, spray with natural pyrethrum if necessary
- deep-water once a week
