Squash 

Companion planting:
Likes: corn, marjoram, nasturtiums, peas, sunflowers

Sow in greenhouse end of August, plant out end of October, also sow directly in garden in October to November. Harvest December to April.

Sow squash 90 cm apart, thin out gradually to one plant each. Squash are usually easy to grow with a large yield.

Varieties used:
Pattison Panache Jaune et Verte’ (The Lost Seed)

Preserving:
Wash, cut into cubes, water blanche or steam blanche for 3 minutes, cool quickly and freeze.
